Life In Waterloo

Coming to Waterloo was quite spontaneous in a way. I got a job offer on a wednesday and got a place and a friend to live with only days later! Its funny how things just worked out. Working from home had its novelty... I mean where else can you work in your pajamas and take a time out to watch your favorite show? haha But sadly at home I tended to work all day and night... there was not end to it. This was partly my fault as I'd work only a few hrs at a time. I think the biggest factor of me wanting to get out of that situation was the lack of human interaction. When you start talking to yourself it ain't a good sign! haha
Okay back to life in Waterloo. As some of you knew I was living a minimalistic lifestyle. Those that are wondering I still have no Cable TV, Internet, Phone Lan Line, Microwave, Car, and very little furniture (our table is really a door with legs)... Some might ask why? Well I was only planning to live there for 3 months so I didn't want to go through the hassle. Also I thought it would be good to separate myself from technology at least after work hours. Anyways back to waterloo...
My Waterloo life...
Observations:
- Time feels like it slows down considerably
- Distances seem farther than ever
- I feel like a student again heck I use my student card all the time! haha
- I got creative in finding ways to pass the time
- Having intellectual conversations with your housemates for hours on end
- Hobbies are a good thing...
- Honing my ability to sleep on long bus rides even with loud chatter
- Reading a lot...
- Getting 8hrs of sleep a day
- Receiving 165.00 cell phone bills =S
- Self reflection and lots of thinking going on

So looking at this list it looks like its not that bad... its a simple life with very little obligation or expense and its true you get use to it. Though I can't wait to move into my new place this Janauary. I'll be moving into a very nice place with Felix. The stark contrast should be a treat! I mean we'll have weekly cleaning service! The place is newly renovated and fully furnished with a free washer/dryer, microwave, and dishwasher. We also get Internet, Phone, Cable TV, and Utilities included! Now the only thing is its kinda far so I've been entertaining the idea again of getting a car... We'll see what happens.

Anyways sorry to bore you but hey this site is my 'life capsule'. I wanted to document this stage of life so later in life I can look back and say see KIDS when I was your age I... so the story goes haha
